Over the past few weeks, there have been numerous recalls announced that involve Dodge Rams, Ford F-150’s, Chevrolet Traverse’s and several Cadillac, Chevrolet and GM SUVs. Consumers are supposed to be contacted by the auto manufacturers regarding the recalls.
Ford has recalled more than 8,700 Ford F-150 trucks after a problem has been detected with the break lights. The break stop light may not illuminate or may be delayed when the brake pedal is pressed. This problem can increase the risk of a car accident.
GM has recalled over 15,000 Chevrolet Traverse SUVs because of a problem with the park brake cable link. The connector has the potential to fracture when the brake pedal is pressed, which could cause a crash. GM is also recalling more than 27,000 GM Cadillac Escalade and Escalade Hybrid, ESV and EXT versions, Chevrolet Avalanche, Colorado, Suburban, Tahoe and Tahoe hybrid and GMC Canyon, Yukon, Yukon XL, and Yukon hybrid trucks. According to the recall announcement, the fuel system could have a sealing problem, which can lead to separation, allowing water to seep in.
Chrysler has recalled approximately 37,000 Dodge Ram pickup trucks for a problem with the manual temperature control. This malfunction can cause the windshield defrosting and defogging to not work properly.
